For classic but never stale continental cuisine, Aujord'hui holds to the highest standard
in Boston, while offering traditional elegance and a lovely view of the Boston Public Gardens.
Though I consider it one of Boston's two or three best restaurants, I place Aujord'hui in the
"less recommended section" only because its quality needs little recommendation and surprises
no one. Its Sunday brunches have not fared so well, though. Alternative hotel brunches
include the spectacular, international affair at Le Meridien's Café Fleuri, followed closely by the
Boston Harbor Hotel's Rowes Wharf, which offers lovely views of the harbor. Aujord'hui's
Bristol Lounge is said to present Boston's best afternoon tea. (1/05)
